We must count every vote because every voter’s voice and opinion matters. That’s how our democracy works. We have seen young people, Black and Brown people and people struggling to make ends meet, overcome unacceptable barriers to exercise their most basic right as Americans. And now all of us must join together to demand that every eligible vote is honored. No candidate can legitimately claim victory before the total votes are counted and the will of the people is heard. We need to let our election officials do their job to ensure every vote is accurately and securely counted before we declare a winner. #EveryVoteCounts
Having the option to vote-by-mail is critical to ensuring our health and safety this year. Because so many voters will be submitting mail-in-ballots, we may not know the final results on election night. Certain politicians want you to think that only votes counted on Election Day matter. The truth is they want to claim victory in the election if it looks like they are leading on election night, but every vote counts. Remember elections aren’t certified on election night. States have rules in place with checks and balances on how to count ballots. Find the rules in your state and how you can receive and submit your mail-in ballot at canivote.org. If you have any questions or issues voting call or text 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683). Additional language help available at 888-VE-Y-VOTA (Spanish), 844-YALLA-US (Arabic), or 888-API-VOTE (Asian Languages).
Did you know that most states allow you to track your mail-in ballot online to see if it was received, verified, and counted? In some states, if your ballot cannot be verified, voters can provide additional information to local election officials so it can be counted. Check the rules in your state. If election officials inform you more is needed, act fast so your ballot can be counted before the deadline. Have questions or need help? Call your local elections office or 866-OUR-VOTE. #protectourvote

We the people, proved nothing can stop us from making our voices heard in elections. Now we must ensure that every vote counts and every voice is heard. We did not let anything get in the way of voting and we will not let anything get in the way of our votes being counted. The person we the voters have chosen should be the one sworn in as our president. We need to let our election officials do their job to ensure every vote is accurately and securely counted and results are certified by election officials. #CountEveryVote
